About me

Thanks for dropping by!

I am a spoken word performer and poet, literature enthusiast, graphic designer, and freelance journalist/editor.

My blog is a journal of ruminations on popular culture, artistic and cultural movements; a meditation on image and iconography, identity & politics, and world literature (from Buchi Emecheta to Paul Beatty) as it relates to the African Diaspora.

I also review some of the great resources out there for young women writers & artists who are also career women. I have always been inspired by the work of women journalists, street and traditional artists, and writers.

I write for single women, mothers, feminists, humanists, up-and-coming scholars who are looking for great resources to pursue a writing career, and for young literary enthusiasts who are interested in the exploring the global world - the African Diaspora in particular, which is a large large world- through the written and spoken word.

Needless to say, I have been on a writing hiatus for a while, but I'm inspired, by all of the things that have happened in my life, to write again.

Anyways, I hope that you enjoy, and are inspired by, what you find here.

with love,
